UPFDA Member Spotlight: Superior Angran Supports CAP Pediatric Cancer Foundation
The United Producers, Formulators and Distributors Association (UPFDA) is proud to highlight a meaningful local initiative led by UPFDA member Superior Angran in support of Fundación CAP – Pediatric Cancer. In 2025, UPFDA rolled out our new Charitable Partner Program. One guideline for selection is that an organization be national in scope, which disqualified CAP Pediatric Cancer Foundation from consideration.
During a recent seminar, Superior Angran took the opportunity to share information about the CAP program with attendees, raising awareness about the foundation’s mission and encouraging participation in its various giving initiatives. This effort reflects the spirit of UPFDA’s Charitable Partner Initiative, which emphasizes supporting impactful organizations with financial resources and volunteer opportunities.
About Fundación CAP
Fundación CAP is dedicated to ensuring that every child diagnosed with cancer in Puerto Rico has access to first-class treatment on the island—close to home and family. Importantly, 100% of donations remain in Puerto Rico, directly supporting:
- The purchase of critical medical equipment
- Improvements to hospital facilities
- Patient and family support services
- Blood and platelet donation programs
- Essential supplies for pediatric oncology patients
CAP works closely with the Pediatric Hospital Oncology Unit at Centro Médico, helping provide both medical resources and comfort items for children and their families during treatment.
Keeping Resources in Puerto Rico
Superior Angran’s decision to spotlight CAP during their seminar aligns perfectly with UPFDA’s commitment to strengthening communities. By supporting a Puerto Rico-based organization where all funds remain on the island, this initiative ensures that charitable resources directly benefit Puerto Rican families.
